Support for those who need it most.
SalamaNet was founded to reach the people and communities that mainstream services too often overlook. We work with individuals and families facing a range of interconnected challenges — always with cultural sensitivity, compassion, and genuine commitment.
All our services are free, open to everyone, and require no referral.
“SalamaNet has a particular focus on supporting Black African and ethnically diverse communities who may experience additional barriers to accessing support — while remaining open and accessible to all.”
Who we work with
Our services are designed around the real, lived experiences of the people we support. Below are the communities and groups we most commonly work with — though if you don't see yourself here, please still get in touch.
Individuals with Sickle Cell & Chronic Illness
People living with sickle cell anaemia, sickle cell disease, or other long-term health conditions — including those managing pain crises, hospital admissions, and the daily challenges of chronic illness.
Relevant services
Families & Carers
Parents, spouses, siblings, and informal carers supporting a loved one with illness, disability, or neurodiversity. We recognise the invisible weight carers carry and provide practical and emotional support.
Relevant services
Neurodiverse Children & Their Families
Families navigating autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurodevelopmental conditions — including support with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), school transitions, and accessing the right services.
Relevant services
Children & Young People
Young people who need support navigating the digital world safely, building confidence, and accessing educational and social opportunities — particularly those from underserved communities.
Relevant services
Older Adults
Older individuals who may be experiencing social isolation, digital exclusion, or health challenges. We provide patient, culturally sensitive support to help older adults stay connected and independent.
Relevant services
Disabled People
Individuals living with physical, sensory, or cognitive disabilities who face barriers to accessing services, digital tools, or community life. We work to remove those barriers and provide accessible, adapted support.
Relevant services
Socially Isolated Individuals
Anyone experiencing loneliness or social isolation — whether due to illness, bereavement, life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected from their community. No one should feel alone.
Relevant services
Black African & Ethnically Diverse Communities
Communities who face additional barriers due to cultural and language differences, systemic inequalities, or a lack of culturally responsive services. SalamaNet was founded with these communities at its heart — while remaining open to all.
Relevant services
Digitally Excluded Individuals
People who lack access to devices, internet connectivity, or the skills to use digital tools — including those who have never used the internet, those who feel left behind by technology, and those at risk of online harm.
